We have a new opportunity for an individual to join our business as a permanent employee for a test engineer with electronics specialism. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join our successful and long established test department. The main function of the role will be the testing and configuration of our industrial process control and monitoring applications as completed units or sub-assemblies to meet our quality standards. You will also be required to assist in routine maintenance and development of both development and production test rigs and fixtures.

What will you be doing?
Inspection of assembled PCBA’S and completed assemblies from the production line.
Testing PCBA’S and completed assemblies (RTU’S).
Final configuration of RTU’S including installing software, hardware configuration, and soak test.
Hand soldering components (both through hole and SMD) and PCBA fault diagnostic and rework.
Maintaining records following Quality Control and Administration procedures.
Must be prepared to adopt a flexible and responsible attitude to the working day in order to achieve objectives.
Rework and repair to component level.
Dealing with customer repairs and giving customers support.
Experience of working in an electronics test department.
Be able to read schematics and technical drawings.
Be a motivated person
Ability to work as part of a team and also be proactive and be able to work under your own initiative at times.
Organised and accurate with a flexible and willingness to carry out a wide variety of tasks within the busy electronics inspection, test, repair department and other departments as required.
Good communication skills
HNC/HND or above in Electronic Engineering or similar
A good level of using the Microsoft Office suite of products
If you know IPC 610 this would be desirable but not essential.
