The Servelec Group is celebrating another successful year of charity work by its staff for a wide range of worthy causes.
The Servelec Group has a charity and fundraising policy which matches donations made by Servelec teams of employees to charitable causes. The Group also supports our teams with the provision of equipment and clothing where appropriate.
A number of staff from Servelec Healthcare in Sheffield completed the Yorkshire Tough Mudder event in August, a gruelling 12 mile obstacle course which includes underwater swimming, wall climbs and electric shocks. The team raised £3,000 including Gift Aid and a matched donation from the company, which was split between Barnardo’s and the Alzheimer’s Society.
Group-wide fundraising also took place for Red Nose Day, which included activities at our offices in the UK, Belgium, Australia and India. Across all our offices, £2,260 was raised through a variety of bake sales and competitions.
Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee morning was well supported in the Sheffield offices, which also included a raffle and raised over £1,500. Other supported activities included a Pretty Muddy women’s only obstacle course and a coast-to-coast cycle ride.
Servelec Group CEO Alan Stubbs commented:
“We are extremely proud of Servelec staff that have given up their spare time this year to raise some fantastic amounts for very worthy causes, which we are more than happy to support. Our offices across the globe have raised an amazing amount, which we look forward to exceeding in 2016”.
The total raised by members of staff from the Servelec Group is almost £9,000.
